Transitioning my skincare routine to a cleaner products has been a goal of mine since becoming a mom. With our skin being the largest organ in our body, I know how important it is to treat it well! I love what Beautycounter has done to initiate that beauty should be good for you. Their products make it easy to settle into a routine that is not only good for your skin but your health and wellness!

Over the past month I’ve been testing our their new Countertime Collection! Each product features their Retinatural Complex, created from two of the most powerful plant derived ingredients available. Bakuchiol has been shown to provide skin-care results that are comparable to retinol—without harmful side effects such as skin irritation and increased sun sensitivity—and Swiss Alpine Rose boosts the skin’s antioxidant defense. The collection is designed to visibly firm, brighten and plump the skin and I’ve been so happy with the effects this collection has had on my skin. 

I would say my skin is generally combination but airs on the side of oily. When my skin gets dry it craves moisture but a little goes a long way! All of the Countertime products are amazing but I don’t necessarily think you need all of them for your routine. I’m going to detail each item +  two different routines depending on your skin type:

Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil – this luxurious, lightweight cleansing oil gently yet effectively removes makeup and other impurities without stripping essential lipids from the skin. If you’re a fan of an oil cleanser and you have dry skin, you will LOVE this. 

Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence – Lightweight but deeply nourishing, this milky moisturizing essence delivers vital nutrients to the skin’s moisture barrier—instantly boosting hydration and radiance. I love using this as a base to serums! Like a toner but not at all drying! It leaves your skin glowy and moisturized and ready to absorb all the good stuff!

Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum – This transformative rejuvenating treatment visibly increases skin firmness and elasticity, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I probably noticed the biggest difference in my skin from using this product! It tightens and evens out skin tone while keeping skin hydrated! A great alternative to a Retinol serum that you may use currently.

Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream – This velvety revitalizing cream improves skin’s barrier function and boosts hydration, which helps protect it from daily environmental stressors. A great lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly and layers so well. Perfect for daily use! 

Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream – Supremely rich and deeply hydrating, this cream supports elasticity and visibly firms while smoothing skin texture to minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This stuff is THICK! If your skin needs more moisture then this will be your best friend!

Ultra Renewal Eye Cream – This high-performance eye cream revitalizes the eye area and reduces the appearance of under-eye shadows and crow’s feet for a smooth, firmed look. I’m super picky about eye cream and this has been one of the best ’ve tried in a long time. It is super moisturizing and leaves my eyes looking visibly brighter, softer and younger! 

If I had to pick 4 of my favorites it would be the hydrating essence, tripeptide radiance serum, antioxidant soft cream and the renewal eye cream. I use all 4 of these products in that order after cleansing every single night and my skin has appeared brighter, softer, my crows feet and forehead wrinkles have diminished and my skin feels and looks more youthful! Most days I’ll use the soft cream in the morning as well! I would say this is the perfect routine for someone who has combination skin. If you have super dry skin then I would add the Cleansing Oil as your daily cleanser and then the Supreme Cream into your nightly routine (you can even swap that out for the soft cream). 

Overall, I am generally super impressed by the results of using the Countertime Collection! Not only do the products provide similar results to other products that I use and love anyways but the fact that Beautycounter’s products are derived from natural, clean ingredients makes it a no brainer to transition my current routine to these items!
