Plans for Charlie’s New Room

shop the room: Benjamin Moore Paint in Santorini Blue, Jordan Connelly Tight Lines Wallpaper, Jensen Bed, Woven Shades, Roto Ceiling Fan, Annie Selke Twiggy Rug, Crate & Kids Hampshire Dresser, Crate & Kids Hampshire Nightstand

It is a big week of transitions in our house! Charlie and Jack have shared a room for the past 3.5 years and now that George is moving into a big boy bed (bye crib!), he will be moving in with Jack and Charlie is getting his own room. Charlie will be moving into the room that has been George’s since we moved into our house 3 years ago. The only room in our house that we have not touched at all and is in desperate need of some love. When we moved I decided not to design a nursery because I knew the season was short. We also put a queen size bed into George’s room for guests so sweet George basically had a crib and a dresser in the middle of very blank space. Not anymore! I am so excited to be giving this room a little refresh and thought it would be fun to share the plans.

The room is centered around this fish wallpaper from Jordan Connelly. I have been wanting to use an outdoor theme wallpaper for our boys and love the colors and playfulness of her art. We are painting all of the trim Benjamin Moore’s Santorini Blue, which is just a shade lighter than the blue of the fish. I think it’s going to be so fun! We have some pretty woven roman shades coming from Island Shade Shoppe and I just ordered a new fan.

We have had this Jensen bed from Celadon Home for a couple years and love it! I was trying to decide what nightstands to do and came across this photo for inspo (same bed as ours!) and plan to order this dresser and nightstands from Crate & Kids. I also ordered this Twiggy Natural Handwoven rug from Annie Selke which I feel like ties everything together. Oh I also bought two vintage green lamps from Celadon a couple months ago that I’m so excited about *the ones included in the collage are just an image pull from Google, I don’t have a link!*

I’m so excited to pull this room together for Charlie! He is so excited, too.
