Since becoming a mom I’ve received so many questions about what baby products are most loved in our home throughout all stages of newborn, infant, baby and into toddler. Now that my sister is a new mom (her son is now 3 months old!) I feel like I have this renewed understanding of what you REALLY need when you have a baby. Here are my must have baby registry items:

Medela Breast Pump – I know it may feel awkward to put a breast pump on your registry but this was THE BEST THING I EVER DID FOR MYSELF. Insurance usually covers a breast pump but this hospital grade is worth the price (and a few people could go in on it together!).

BabyBjorn Bouncer – My best friend. We took this thing everywhere! Both of my kids would sit in it while I showered, it’s great for kids with acid reflux to have them sit up after feeds (Charlie) and it folds down flat for travel.

Infant Optics Baby Monitor – We actually have this brand as our “travel monitor” only because it was a gift and we already had one set up but WE LOVE IT. I actually prefer it over the one we have in our house. A no-fail way to keep your eyes on your babe!

Angelcare Bath Support – Our favorite baby tub! A lot of baby bathtubs get moldy (eek) but this one dries quickly and is mold resistant! It’s also super comfortable for babies from newborn to whenever they sit up on their own.

SNOO – I wrote a review about the SNOO here. Really you will be fine with any bassinet but the SNOO is a luxury option! So why not include it and see if it happens! 😉

4Moms Travel Play Yard – Great for sleep and independent play when mama needs some hands free moments. We also have a pack n’ play but the 4Moms is extra cozy.

Hatch Baby Rest Light + Sound Machine – We use and love this every single day for both boys (and have since day one). It is without a doubt the best sound machine (it can get very loud) and is also an okay-to-wake clock with light settings. You manage everything from an app on your phone! Charlie goes to bed with his orange, then it goes off once he falls asleep and turns green at 6:30am when we say it’s okay to leave his room (if he is up!). A MUST HAVE.

A carrier, swaddles, good thermometer and a crib were high on our list too! Any mom’s out there have favorite products they want to recommend? Leave them in the comments!

A big thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post!

  1. Yesssss just in time! We already got a few of these off our registry which makes me feel like I’ve done some decent homework, but still need to tackle the breast pump, bouncer, and crib. There’s just so much!

  2. The keekaroo peanut changing pad is my favorite baby item. So easy to wipe down when changes get messy and no need for a cover. We have one stationed on each floor in our house. Highly recommend!

  3. You can also rent the Snoo now! It wasn’t an option with my kids and not sure I would have opted for it anyway, but a much more reasonably priced options for new moms now. Also, just an FYI the Medela Pump in Style is not hospital grade because it has open tubing where milk can accumulate. Still a great pump but different than hospital grade with closed tubing (so it can be used with multiple women without issue) – that would be the Medela Symphony. My insurance covered the Pump in Style so moms should definitely check with insurance to see what will be covered or what you can upgrade to with a small fee!

  4. The keekaroo changing pad! So much better than having to wash changing pad covers all the time. You can just wipe it off.

  5. Yes! The hatch light, bouncer seat and a snoo are essentials for us. Total life changers for life with our 3mo. 💕

  6. This list is so reassuring for what I have been looking at! Does anyone have crib sheet recommendations for the Babyletto Lolly 3-in-1? Looking for simple light pink (!) patterns or solids but most of all sheets that wash/have held up well.
