Deciding on a stroller for George felt like quite the run-around. There are so many amazing options on the market and with so many suggestions coming from all different directions I sort of felt like my decision was going to be a bust either way. But we eventually decided to go with the Nuna Demi Grow and I couldn’t be happier with our choice! Here’s why…
A lot of people recommended the Doona and I can see why. The main factor being that it goes from an infant car seat to a stroller without any sort of transition. Definitely making for added ease when you’re dealing with multiple kids, drop offs, etc. But the Doona doesn’t have any storage which for me was a big downside. Also, I didn’t like the idea of our stroller also being our car seat. It’s rare that George is in the car and I felt like the majority of our stroller time would be walking from home. Also, it’s incredible how quickly babies outgrow their infant car seats. I didn’t want to have to buy another stroller system once he turned one.
We used the same Nuna Pipa car seat for both Charlie and Jack and LOVED IT. When I had Charlie it was the safest infant car seat on the market and the lightest. It was very well loved and we needed a new one once George arrived. I considered going a completely different route because when C+J were little, the Nuna Pipa didn’t have great adapter options for strollers. But after some research, I saw that that had since changed and decided to stick with a car seat that we already knew and loved. It only seemed fitting to go with a stroller option that worked with our car seat and the Demi Grow seemed like the perfect option.
If needed (we didn’t really need this option because Charlie and Jack don’t ride in strollers very often anymore!) it can transition into two seats, has great storage underneath, looks good, rides super smooth and has easy adapters for the car seat to snap in quickly. It has a full sunshade, leather details, a comfortable and easy buckle system and the seat can adjust from laying down to sitting up either forward or backwards. We LOVE IT!
