Mark my words – these frozen jalapeño watermelon margaritas will be your favorite summer cocktail! I made these last week and holy cow they are good. I’m always looking for a summer cocktail that isn’t too sugary. These are not too sweet, have a subtle kick and are very refreshing. I made a really tasty rim that only makes these margaritas better. A must try!
For step by step instructions, you can watch this IG REEL I made!
Frozen Jalapeno Watermelon Margaritas
Ingredients:
2 cups watermelon, cubed and frozen (ideally but not necessary)
1/2 jalapeno, de-seeded
juice of 2 limes
4 oz good tequila (we like Casamigos Blanco or Reposado)
Red Clay Hot Sauce Hot Honey (to rim glass)
flakey sea salt
Start by cubing your watermelon and freezing for at least two hours. This isn’t necessary but it is going to make your frozen margarita much less watered down! In a blender combine frozen watermelon, jalapeño, juice of two limes and tequila. Blend until combined. Then add a cup or so of ice and blend again to really get that yummy frozen texture.
Rim half of your glass with hot honey. We love this one from Red Clay and you can use code LIZ25 for 25% off! Then dip that in a good flakey sea salt. Pour yourself a margarita and top with fresh lime zest from your used limes. Enjoy! This will make about 4 margaritas.
