Making the Most Out of My Mornings

This post is sponsored by The Quaker Oats Company, all opinions are my own.

Over the past few months I’ve realized the importance of slowing down my routine. Some days you feel like you’ve got things totally under control and other days are an uphill battle. As a mom, I struggle to do what’s best for my body. Whether that is taking a break, eating a nutritious meal, drinking more water, catching up on sleep. The to-do list never seems to end! I’ve learned to dedicate at least an hour of the day to myself and it’s made a huge difference.

I’m excited to partner with Quaker to share some ways that I’m making the most out of my mornings.

Being pregnant definitely makes you think about what’s important for your body and over the past few months I’ve made a few simple changes that offer big results. 1. Get more sleep. At 31 years old I’ve realized that my body requires a solid 8 hours of sleep to fully function. 2. Drink more water. 3. Start my day with a satisfying breakfast option. Typically I wake up an hour before Charlie so I can quietly enjoy my cup of coffee and Quaker Overnight Oats.

Since mornings are reserved for “me” time it’s important that breakfast prep doesn’t require too much effort. With Quaker Overnight Oats, you can prep this breakfast option the night before and wake up and enjoy! All you have to do is add your favorite dairy or non-dairy milk (I like vanilla almond milk) to the fill line, stir and place in the fridge to cold steep overnight. Plus, the flavors are delicious! Quaker Overnight Oats have quickly become part of my morning and night routine. I get excited to prepare them before sneaking up to bed and look forward to enjoying them with my cup of coffee when I wake up. It’s the little things that help you ease into a new day!
