The Boyfriend

There is something so effortlessly cool about girls that can pull off that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look, don’t you think? Like – I just rolled out of bed, didn’t feel like fussing too much and I look amazing – kind of look. Oh if it were that easy…

With winter temps doing serious damage to my skin I’ve grown tired of my skinny jeans that leave me feeling too compressed and itchy {ha, does anyone else understand this feeling?}. I had been on the hunt for a great pair of boyfriend jeans that don’t completely disguise my petite frame but are comfortable and stylish. I landed on the perfect pair at Old Navy and am so happy with my findings. Their new boyfriend jeans are a skinny fit which means less fabric and a slimmer leg so you’re not drowning in extra denim and can still maintain the shape of your legs. While I’d usually pair them with a more fitted striped tee or sweater, I decided to switch up and throw on an oversized chambray shirt and my most edgy heels. It has felt like I’ve been wearing the same layers for the past four months so changing it up with a look that I wouldn’t normally wear felt refreshing. That’s what I love about style, it allows you to channel anyone you want to be – in this case, it was my husband who never has an issue getting dressed.
