With summer just around the corner I am fully leaning in to Americana style over here. To be honest, red, white and blue are on heavy rotation in my closet year round. I am a big wearer of classics and know that this color palette is always in style. Summer has sort of snuck up on me (what happened to spring?!) but I’m looking forward to packing up my favorite patriotic pieces for our summer travels. Memorial Day Weekend kick starts longer days and I rely heavily on effortless pieces to take me from day to night. Eyelet, cotton knits, stripes, gingham and feminine details are high on my list of what I’m shopping these days. Here is a list of Americana styles to carry your thought summer!

We all need a gingham dress for summer! I snagged this one a couple months ago and have been saving it for this weekend. I also have this one in my cart.

A classic cotton sweater. I have so many favorites to choose from! The Marea Lake sweater in ivory and red, The Great sailboat cardigan, Minnow’s classic stripe cardigan, Jenni Kayne’s Chloe Crewneck (on sale for MDW!) and a La Ligne Marina Sweater. *I have variations of all these sweaters and approve!
American Flag applique! I have had this Ralph Lauren sweater (size up!) for many years and added this sweatshirt to the mix. I also love this rollneck style and this cute tee. I ordered this $20 sweater for all of my boys!
Of course we all need a good swimsuit! This floral one piece and this red one piece are at the top of my list.
