Well, healthier! Oh my gosh you guys, this recipe is out of this world good. I have made these a handful of times, with a couple different variations, and they are a HIT. We eat the batch so fast that I haven’t been able to share but I made a point to document this delicious combo because your family will love.
You may have seen these around the internets! I think I first made these a few years back but revisited them once my kids were getting a little too comfortable asking for dessert. We needed something that hit the spot as a treat but with a little less guilt. Enter these “healthier” snickers bars! All you need is 5 simple ingredients and willpower so not to eat the whole batch at once.

Health(ier) Snickers Bar Recipe with Dates and Peanut Butter
Ingredients
1 package Medjool Dates
Creamy peanut butter
Sliced or slivered almonds (could also use peanuts!)
Melting chocolates (I like these Ghirardelli brand)
Coconut oil
Salt
Take the pit out of the dates and set on a baking sheet or plate. Spoon in a small amount of creamy peanut butter into each date, ‘stuffing it’ into the date. In a microwave safe bowl, combine melting chocolates with 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Microwave for 30 second increments, stirring in-between, until melted (usually takes 1.5 minutes!). Dip the dates into the melted chocolate and set back on platter. Top with sliced almonds, peanuts or whatever you choose! Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freeze for 30-60 minutes. Bite in and prepared to be blown away!
