A new week! Not going to lie – I’m tired. Tired from new routines maybe? Early mornings that are more rushed than relaxing. New germs are sneaking into our home as much as we try to avoid them. That back to school feeling is in full force, ha!
In moments when I feel flustered or maybe a little “out of control” (I mean this with every casual sense of the word), I try to cling to the things that I can control. Health(ier) meals, exercising, taking a minute to myself, putting the phone away and being present with my kids, ignoring the mess and cleaning up at the end of the day when everyone is asleep. It’s easy to get stressed out when everything feels out of order but I find my days are so much more enjoyable when I take a deep breath and just control what I can control.
That’s why I like these bi-weekly wellness plans that I post – a way to hold me accountable for some small part of our week. Remember, this is just a basis for your own plan. Take it and make it whatever it needs to be for you and your family!
Here is what we are cooking:
Kale + Brussel Sprout Salad with Mustard Vinaigrette and Grilled Chicken
Turkey Burgers (I make this one a week, ha)
Crockpot Chicken Gyros (a HAF community FAVORITE)
Again, plans pop into your week and thats ok, too! Grab lunch with friends, go out to dinner more days than you cook, miss a workout to catch up on your favorite shows. It’s all ok! So many questions about downloading a blank version to fill out yourself, both are linked below!
