The 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here! When I asked what you guys were hoping to see from this year’s sale, I was blown away by all the amazing suggestions and smart requests everyone provided. The great news is I think we’re all on the same page—you can expect to hear my honest reviews of what I tried on and personally purchased, my thoughts on what I think you should shop and what I think you should skip, a mix of price ranges for pieces across several categories (women’s, men’s, kids, athletic, etc), and, of course, notes on sizing and fit. My goal is to make navigating this sale simple and stress-free…though there is some motivation to snag items before they sell out (some stuff is already going crazy fast), it should still be fun to shop!

All of the outfits I’m going to share today (I want to give you all of my favorites in one place!), are honestly options to wear year round pending the weather. Every year I try to showcase everything from day one so you can refer back to it whenever you decide to/are able to shop. I tried to focus on items that feel new! Sometimes it seems this sale showcases the same thing year after year but I was pleasantly surprised to find some diamonds that I know will be staples from now through fall and beyond. I hope you love these looks as much as I do!

I have to say I was much more impressed with this year’s collection than I have been with past sales. Lots of great staples, styles that are worth the investment, and items that you’ll generally get a lot of use out of. So without further ado, here are all of my selects from the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! 

My Picks from the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 

Outfit 1: Chelsea28 silk midi skirt (wearing a small), BP. ribbed long-sleeve tee (wearing a small), Steve Madden Jillian Boot (true to size), Gucci Disco Bag (not part of sale), Quay Sunglasses (not part of sale)

I love this outfit because I think it is easily work appropriate but throw on a leather jacket for date night or dinner with the girls and it is elevated to chic and effortless. The slip skirt is everywhere for summer and into fall! I love it paired with booties + an easy ribbed tee. Trust me when I say that these are the best booties at the best price – not overly trendy (I’m not into the cutouts, edgy details) but just classic and SUPER soft. Great with jeans, dresses and skirts! These Steve Madden booties will be a TOP SELLER for sure. 

Outfit 2: Something Navy Sweater (wearing a XS), AG legging jean (wearing a 26), Caslon Leopard Mules (true to size)

Two purchases that I think are a no-brainer during the Nordstrom Sale – designer denim and cozy sweaters. Honestly, I only bought 2 sweaters from the sale this year – nothing totally stood out to me + so many of the same styles from last year! This Something Navy pullover is basically the only casual/comfy pullover you need. It comes in a bunch of colors and is oversized/so comfy! In terms of denim, I had my eye on a few styles from the catalog and one was these AG raw hem legging jeans. Since I have shorter legs, I appreciate the raw hem. Just a great every day jean for fall/winter Every.single.year the leopard mule is a best seller (the perfect pop of print for fall) and this season the Caslon style is my favorite from the sale. It has a Gucci-esque structure so super tailored and a great print!

Outfit 3: Halogen Cashmere Cardigan (wearing a small), Rebecca Minkoff Belt, BP. Leopard Dress (wearing a small), 1.STATE Pumps (true to size)

It probably seems silly but I bought two leopard dresses from the sale! I love this one because the print feels a little more neutral/subtle and the slip silhouette is easy for date night (and also for this summer heat!). The skinny belt cinches in your waist which I love on a straight shape. Mark my words – these pumps will be one of my best sellers! They are a DREAM. Perfect height, prettiest toe, chunky heel and literally go with everything. You can’t beat the price! Wear this outfit now or throw the dress over a cute turtleneck and black booties. Every year I buy a version of this cardigan because 1. you can’t beat the price for cashmere and 2. I wear them to death. If you are focusing on building a better wardrobe – this cardigan is a must. It’s a staple year after year (I still have and love a charcoal one I bought from the sale 3 years ago). I also bought this leopard dress (I got the XS) to wear to a rehearsal dinner next week! Love when items work for now and into fall. 

Outfit 4: AllSaints Leather Jacket (wearing a US 4), BP. Lace Cami (wearing a small), Rag & Bone Jeans (true to size, wearing a 26), 1.STATE Pumps

Maybe my favorite outfit from the sale!? Filled with essentials that you will wear year after year after year. A few years ago my most worn and loved jeans were from the Anniversary Sale (you all loved them too!) and they are back in black this year!! Paired with the cutest lace cami that comes in a bunch of colors/prints (like leopard + polka dot!) and these trust pumps that are seriously so comfy and elevate every outfit. The star of this look is the Allsaints leather jacket. If you’ve been on fence about purchasing a high quality leather jacket that is not black – I would pull the trigger on this one! It is a DREAM. Comes in this pretty blush color and also a beautiful blue (I loooove the blue color but I already have a blue one). 

Outfit 5: Kenneth Cole Coat (wearing a S/P), Rag & Bone Jeans, AllSaints Tee (wearing a small), Vince Loafers, Givenchy Antigona Bag (not included in sale) 

Eeek I love this outfit too! So simple but perfect for running around and this coat is a STAR. Looks so much more expensive than it is and an item that will go FAST. I love the ribbed sleeves and the wool body. Definitely not a HEAVY winter coat but the perfect transitional item. I feel like this style comes back year after year so definitely take advantage.  Paired with the Rag & Bone jeans (again) and the cutest layering tee that I promise will be a go-to in my wardrobe. Such a great basic with a twist! Do you guys remember my pink Vince loafers from 2 years ago? I wore them to death (literally). Well they are back this year and I LOVE the grey color! The most comfortable loafers I’ve ever owned and I love that they are sleek and feminine. Seriously you guys, I feel like this outfit is city girl chic. Love, love, love!!

Outfit 6: Adidas Swift Sneakers (size down!), Zella Tank (wearing a small), Nike Sports Bra (wearing a small), Nike Lux Leggings (wearing a small)

Ok I couldn’t not share some activewear because this section of the sale is SOOO GOOD. First of all, my favorite Nike leggings are part of the sale! These are the best – the lux fabric smooths out your legs and really sucks you in but they are COMFORTABLE and I love the 7/8 length. Paired with maybe the cutest sports bra ever – love the mesh detailing – subtle but sexy! I also threw on this cute Zella tank that I feel like I’ll be wearing non-stop. I’ll probably be purchasing in the pink color, too! Every year the Adidas sneakers sell out so fast so if you like them, buy right away. I found they run a 1/2 size large so I recommend sizing down!
