There’s no doubt that this is the most wonderful time of the year, and I’m all about getting fully into the holiday spirit. Since this is our first year in our new house, it’s been especially fun to pull out all the stops in terms of holiday decor. The best part was adding a new stocking over the fireplace! 🙂

While I don’t go crazy trying to make sure every piece of holiday decor in our home matches perfectly, I do like to find items that are festive without being over-the-top cheesy. These are a some of my favorite holiday items that we’ve used for our home, and a few more that I just love—there’s something about a decorated home that makes my heart feel so full, and even more grateful to be home with my boys. I hope this post makes you feel equally as excited about the holidays as I am!

I can’t wait to sip hot cocoa out of our personalized tartan mugs

White and green is the prettiest color combination, and this wreath will be perfect for our front door. If you prefer the more traditional colors, this cranberry and pinecone wreath is beautiful.

You can’t get much cozier than cable-knit pillows

Do you open holiday crackers after Christmas dinner? One of my favorite traditions!

Dave recently set up a train going around our tree, and Charlie can’t get enough of it.

Ps. Other decorations we used for our tree: this linen tree skirt, and this “Noel” tree topper.

You can see a few more of my holiday decor picks in the slider below—it’s all just too fun! How are you decorating your home for the holidays?
