Classic style will always prevail in my closet. On days when getting dressed feels like a challenge (read: most days), I always reach for the same thing – jeans and a button down shirt. I have an army of this combo in my closet.

Did you know that they started selling J.Crew at Nordstrom? Kind of amazing considering I sometimes feel like the J.Crew site is scrolling through the same thing over and over. Nordstrom has a curated collection that makes it much easier to find what you want. Filling the void and giving you the perfect gingham shirt, little cropped jacket and a take on classic jeans that every girl needs in her closet.

Dave and I have a trip planned to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We had Charlie 8 days after our first so needless to say we didn’t celebrate too much! We are going somewhere in the mountains and I can’t wait to get out first real feel of fall. I’m using our trip as an excuse to invest in some new items that will be essential throughout the coming months.

I picked up this Penfield Jacket which is the perfect in-between coat. I bought the black but now the red is available and I wish I had waited! The waterfall Vince cardigan finally came home with me. I can’t tell you how many styles of this sweater I have bought over the years and they never hold up with all the wear and tear I give them.
