As we transition into fall, I’ve begun to assemble my arsenal of essentials to get me through the season. I always feel a little “back to school” when I pull out my jackets, plaid shirts and denim. We experienced our first taste of fall weather in Wisconsin this past weekend and I couldn’t help but enjoy it. You know that quote, “life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall?” It is so true. There is something so invigorating about a new season. Especially one filled with my favorite things like our wedding anniversary, Webster’s birthday, Charlie’s birthday, cozy sweater, chai latte’s – you get the picture.

Although I’m 30 (!!!), the end of summer always reminds me of that exiting feeling of starting a new school year. I remember planning my outfit for the first day of school weeks in advance. I found this lace up denim skirt from Abercrombie and immediately thought of my first day of senior year in high school. A denim skirt is a fall staple. It looks good with everything! I paired it with this crisp white blouse and my new favorite jacket for fall. I had been on the hunt for a pink quilted jacket (that was a good price) and was so excited to find this one! It is lined in fleece so it is super cozy.
