It is seriously what we live for around these parts. After brutally long winters this city comes alive in the summer – the beaches fill up, people are constantly outside, restaurants open their doors, and the riverwalk is the perfect place to enjoy the summer views.

One of my favorite activities to do in the city is take an Architectural Boat Tour. I do it almost every summer even though at this point I pretty much know the details of Chicago’s skyline like the back of my hand. It’s such a beautiful way to learn about the city, take in the architecture, and enjoy the skyline views from the water. There are also a ton of cute restaurants along the river and it’s always fun to sit and watch the boats go by.

I originally purchased this dress for the 4th of July but have worn it countless times since adding it to my closet. The shape is so easy and the star print is subtle on the lightweight chambray fabric. Perfect for summer!
