Since getting engaged last August, there has been lots of celebration! It’s crazy to think that our wedding is 9 months away and aside from the slight stress of wedding planning, all of the engagement parties, bridal showers on the calendar, registering for items for our future, and wedding dress alterations has me focused on the fact that I am the bride {which took awhile to sink in, that this party I am planning is actually for Dave and I!}. When my friends at kate spade new york sent over a fun tablescape to help inspire my bridal showers scheduled for June, I could not help but design a bridal brunch for a few of my bridesmaids. You can see more photos of my bridal brunch after the jump!…
In our current apartment we don’t have room for a dining table, so being able to set up a beautiful brunch in my pretty office made me extremely ready to be a bride {and a homeowner!}. The idea of a registry is really special, that we get the opportunity to build a home for our future as a family of two {and three and four and five (; }. The kate spade new york brand has always been a favorite of mine. Not only are their clothes and accessories on repeat in my wardrobe, but over the years I’ve come to love the beautiful pieces they have for the home and entertaining. I love that their designs are classic but with a twist – the Market Street, Wickford and Castle Peak collections being my personal favorite for everyday and their fine china is pretty dreamy too! My style can sometimes be quirky and I love the fact that you can mix and match with fun pieces like these salt & pepper shakers or these coasters. It makes the table feel warm and welcoming, which I always want my personal style to exemplify. So whether this inspires you as a bride {!!}, or celebrating your friends and family, or a future homeowner, or if your goal for 2014 is to entertain more – hopefully this pretty brunch inspires your next get together. Moments like this remind me to Live Colorfully everyday. Enjoy your week!
