I am so excited to share this DELICIOUS dip appetizer with you, just in time for the Super Bowl. If you’ve visited Charleston and gone to Butcher & Bee, then you may have tried a version of this dip. It is one of my favorites and they serve it with fresh made pita and veggies. It feels light and fresh and I was determined to create my own version at home. Here she is! A little thiner than their version with just as much flavor. I make this all the time (it is great alongside these chicken gyros!) and it is a hit with everyone. This dip has also become my go-to appetizer when going to someone else’s home. You’ll love it!

Whipped Feta Dip with Hot Honey
Ingredients:
1 cup cubed feta cheese (I use a block feta in brine)
1/4 cup sour cream
2 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
juice of 1/2 lemon
zest of 1/2 lemon
1 tbsp hot honey (we use Red Clay, LIZ15 gets you 15% off!)
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
1/2 tsp salt
a pinch of red pepper flakes
a couple sprigs of fresh dill
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Puree until smooth! Taste and see if you need more of anything! If I feel like it is too smooth I’ll add some more feta and blend again.
Serve with veggies, bread, pita, pita chips, crackers or whatever you prefer! Enjoy.
