It’s officially Christmas week and I’m checking out for the rest of the year! I’ve taken this little “vacation” every year for the past 4 years. It is the perfect way to end the year and start anew. Sort of like a deep breath, a reflection and a way to look ahead with clear eyes and a full heart. We have two weeks planned with family in town and I can’t wait.

I can’t leave this year behind without thanking you. I have a bigger post going up before the year ends but it goes without saying that this year brought a lot of change around here. One steady constant in a year that often felt chaotic and out of control was this corner of the internet. A place that I could come and write, express my emotions, be honest, shed some tears and find some peace. Year after year this community continues to amazes me. It is incredible to see how much we have grown together, walked through the same seasons of life, experienced change and hardships and triumphs. Somehow, along the way, this incredible community of supportive, confident, powerful, beautiful, hilarious, amazing people has banned together to LIFT each other up. I not only see it and feel it on a daily basis but I watch it in our private Facebook group, I see it in the friend chats you send me and I feel it in our own communication. I feel so proud that this space has created a community for others. I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings to all of us!
