This week’s fitness plan is all about healthy meals during the week with a side of indulgence here and there. I always get asked how many glasses of wine I have in a week and I’m going to be honest and say probably 2 a night. Dave and I usually share a bottle of wine every night. Who’s to say if that is good or bad but life is all about balance and I’m a firm believer that wine helps me survive motherhood so do what you gotta do, you know?

With so much travel recently I want to try some new recipes and this Vegan Caeser Salad and this 30 Minute Healthier Pasta Carbonara have been on my list. We have been eating out/indulging a lot lately so I’m trying to lighten things up around here! My brother is in town until Tuesday so we are hosting my family for dinner tonight and I wanted to do something different—I know this pasta carbonara will be a hit. I can’t wait to try the dressing for this caesar salad! I’ll report back on how it is or let me know if you make it, too. I’ll also be making these go-to recipes:

Healthy Turkey Burgers
My Favorite Chopped Salad (with rotisserie chicken)
Massaged Kale Salad (I’m obsessed right now) with Lemon Pepper Salmon

*A few items that I always have stocked in my kitchen – chickpeas, capers, dijon mustard, cashews, almonds, avocado, lemons, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, various pastas, pepperoncini peppers, salami, various cheeses, cucumber – if they are not stock items then I usually always purchase the fresh items every week.

I’m getting in some extra workouts this week after a few indulgent weeks away. I have gotten in such a groove with working out that I feel guilty when I take a day off. I know that is completely unnecessary and I never want to tell you guys how to workout, but this kind of schedule is how I feel my best. My trainer will be answering some of your questions on Friday (can’t wait for you to see his responses!) but one of the most frequently asked questions was about what to incorporate if you’re trying to trim down/lose weight and his biggest suggestion is more cardio. For me, I don’t want to sacrifice eating/drinking what I want, when I want which is why incorporating more runs during the week always helps me feel like I’m a step ahead.

I always want to remind you guys that just because my workouts/meals look one way, doesn’t mean yours have to look the same! Do what you’re comfortable with and don’t push yourself too fast, too quick. I just hope to inspire you to feel good about your weeks and do something that betters you and your family. We all have to start somewhere!

Here is to a great week ahead! Love you guys! xoxo
