There are few things I love more than my bed. Dave always makes fun of me because of how excited I get about clean sheets, new bedding and just generally being in my bed. I think because it is truly the only place I can escape to in my house. It is my little sanctuary and as I’ve gotten older, even more so since becoming a mom, I’ve realized the importance of investing in this special spot.
Did you know that you spend 1/3 of your life in your bed? That is crazy! For that reason I am a firm believer that a quality mattress is so important as is your bedding. We recently upgraded our bedding situation thanks to Allswell and I’m so excited to share it with you today! We still have a few more things to do in our room – paint the walls, install our drapery, add sconces next to our bed – but I am so pleased with how our bed turned out.
I had first learned about Allswell’s beautiful bedding before even realizing they made mattresses too! After reading their mattress reviews I was excited to order the Supreme Queen (a king) and loved that it arrived in a big box on our doorstep, ready to move in! Dave was so excited to let it open up (I’ll be sharing a little video on my insta stories today) and honestly it was so cool. So quick and easy, too! After a few nights in our new bed I’m happy to report that this mattress is equal parts firm and soft, cooling and Dave and I both agreed we have been sleeping hard. Something this mama needs more of! Allswell also has a firmer style if you prefer!
Now onto the bedding, probably my favorite part of our new bed. Like I said, it is sad how excited I get for new bedding. It’s like a new outfit for my best friend (haha, sad but true). I was immediately drawn to the Modern Glam collection and wanted to keep it neutral since our room is primarily ivory and (will be) grey. I ordered three Euro pillows and shams along with a new duvet cover and the prettiest pink coverlet. The coverlet is by far my favorite detail on the bed – the texture is BEAUTIFUL.
Dave asked me the other day what I wanted for Mother’s Day and I told him that I would love dinner and wine in bed, with my favorite movie and no children. Since upgrading our bedroom situation it is literally the only place I want to hang. Truth be told, my Mother’s Day will probably be spent in bed but with breakfast crumbs, Youtube Kids and a toddler jumping all over me but that sounds pretty perfect, too.
