This time of year always symbolizes a fresh start. Whether it is a new routine, a new wardrobe or just a new motivation; it’s an exhilarating feeling that comes with the early signs of fall.
I have so many memories of back to school shopping with my mom. It’s a tradition that I can’t wait to experience with my own children! I was always most excited about new outfits for the school year and even though I have been out of school for 9 years – I still like to treat my closet to a wardrobe refresh for fall. The first item that comes to mind is denim. The basis of all of our favorite outfits! Year after year, Old Navy denim never disappoints.
I have been obsessed with Old Navy’s Rockstar denim (as seen here and here) for awhile and this year they released their 24/7 Rockstar with all direction stretch. So comfortable and I swear their jeans never lose their shape! They have the cutest styles this year, too. I love the subtle rips and raw hem on my jeans. Dave has always loved how flexible ON denim is for guys and this year he is loving their Flex 360 slim fit styles. He told me these feel like pajamas and the wash is perfect for fall. How cute are they paired with this short sleeve denim shirt?
Charlie in jeans. My favorite! Actually, for awhile I felt guilty putting Charlie in jeans. Like it was strictly for my benefit because I knew he would be much more comfortable in leggings (since he is always on the move). However, Old Navy Karate denim for toddlers still gives that skinny look but with extra movement and comfort. There is no slowing him down! I couldn’t help but match him in a denim on denim look with Dave. Those two (all of the heart eyes).
We snapped these photos downtown along the river and it made me miss cool mornings on the water. It always feels like fall a little earlier than normal when you’re in the city. A reminder of what’s to come!
