I get so many questions about my favorite coffee shops in Chicago. I have more than a few that I rotate between for either a quick stop for the perfect latte or a place to set up shop for the day. The city has so many options that I have a list for both!

If you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee I love La Colombe, Intelligentsia or Bow Truss. If I’m looking for a place to work where I won’t get too distracted I opt for City Grounds (prettiest latte), Floriole (upstairs) or C.C. Ferns if I’m feeling the mood. A few other favorites in the city are Elaine’s Coffee Call, Caffe Streets, Heritage Bikes and Gaslight Coffee Roasters.

My maxi skirt is a new addition to my closet. I am always hesitant about skirts this length because I worry they will cut off my short legs. However, I think the fact that you still see a bit of my ankle helps to elongate my silhouette (I need all the help I can get!). I paired it with the cutest crop top (currently on sale!) that I wear religiously. Normally I would wear this with something more high waisted but I was kind of digging the sliver of skin. Except seeing these photos of my belly button reminds me of how different my body is after having a baby. It also reminds me that I should never have gotten my belly button pierced in college.

Can you believe it is August? This has been the fastest year of my life. In two months Charlie will be ONE (remember this instagram?). I could cry just thinking about that. Also, in 19 days I will by THIRTY. Savoring these last couple weeks in my twenties. I find myself randomly telling people I am 29 lately (like no one cares or asks, I just say it). I have to savor these days while I can!
