My Favorite Face Masks

the best face masks for brighter skinIf you follow me on snapchat {name: lizadamsss} then you may have seen some photos of my beauty routine. To be honest this varies from day to day but one thing that is always consistent is my use of face masks 3 nights/week. There is something so indulgent about a face mask – the scent, the way it makes your skin feel, the way it relaxes you, and it is 5-20 minutes of doing something just for you. So sit down, light a candle, pour yourself a warm bath {or lay in bed with a good book} and give your skin a little TLC. Here are a few of my favorites…

the best face masks1. Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Mask and Moisturizing Moon Mask. The first mask is like a green juice for your face. The white kaolin clay draws out excess oils, detoxifies your skin, calms inflammation and adds nutrients to your skin and you can start to feel it work almost immediately. The moisturizing mask is the perfect compliment to plump your skin with hydration. A powerful duo!

2. Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask. Pregnancy has left my skin SUPER dry and this mask has probably been the most used throughout the last 7 months. It immediately restores radiance, balances discoloration, and hydrates. I love that it is lightweight, soft, and luxurious.

3. Caudalie Instant Detox Mask. This powerful mask works fast! It’s my favorite fix when I have early morning meetings and didn’t get a good night of sleep. It revitalizes and invigorates your complexion in just 5 minutes and leaves your skin looking glowy and fresh. I love that it says it “detoxifies and drains” because that’s exactly what I want on mornings when my eyes are puffy and I feel exhausted. It’s a quick shot of caffeine for your face!

4. Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask. 100% all natural and a blogger favorite! This has been used pretty consistently throughout my pregnancy because it eliminates a few other steps {microdermabrasion, scrubbing, etc.} and I love that it is all natural. This mask just does what it says – resurfaces your skin, decongests pores and eliminates dead skin, and leaves your skin glowing.

5. Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. This mask is special because not only do you feel it working internally but immediately after using it my skin looks and feels tighter on the outside, too. It smooths wrinkles, boosts collagen, and smooths and enhances the original luster of your skintones. I love this mask because it is another quick one! 5-10 minutes and you’re good to go.

6. Arcona Tea Tree Mask. I haven’t used this mask since getting pregnant but it’s one of my consistent favorites, especially when I get into a good routine I tend to use this one 4-5 nights a week. It’s light, purifying, and the tea tree oil is so luxurious. It’s exactly what you imagine your skin wants on a day to day basis. Exfoliates, diminishes pours, detoxifies, heels and calms and inflammation you may have on your skin. Follow up with a good moisturizer to really make your skin happy.
