In the Bedroom

I love waking up in the morning, making a pot of coffee, and climbing back in bed to respond to emails and catch up on the news. Our bedroom is filled with just enough sunshine in the morning to start your day off on the right foot and our bed is big enough for our little family to curl up and watch movies before we fall asleep. Since we are renters there is very little work we can do to the bones of our place so we have kept the majority of our apartment pretty neutral. Earlier this year, Dave and I bought a king size bed {best decision you will ever make} which meant it was time to upgrade our headboard! I turned to my friend Alex who helped me custom design a headboard in the prettiest Tilton Fenwick fabric that would add a pop of print to our generally clean slate. I love walking into our room and seeing this headboard smiling at me, such a bright spot in our tiny apartment.

My friends at Crane & Canopy generously sent over their navy blue border duvet cover and king shams which pairs perfectly with our headboard. Are you familiar with Crane & Canopy? They have beautiful, designer-quality bedding but at a much better price! I also love the Valencia Pintuck Duvet and the Page Grey Duvet. Plus their sheets are so so soft – no wonder I’ve been having a tough time getting out of bed in the morning. With shorter days I am so thankful to have this cozy spot to dive into!
