Pops of Fall in My Wardrobe

shop this look: Hunter Bell Top (wearing a small, also here and here), Agolde Riley Jeans, J.Crew Clogs, Dragon Diffusion Bag

How are we feeling about fall? Are we ready? I AM READY. Living in Charleston I’ve had to figure out ways to pull the fall vibes into my wardrobe without sweating. It’s an adjustment! One of my favorite ways to bring in fall when it doesn’t feel like fall is with texture and prints. I have been using my Dragon Diffusion tote so much (they have so many amazing styles and colors) – I love that the texture and soft brown leather is sort of seasonal. I also love this basket bag shape, this smaller style and this tote shape (the dark brown is so pretty).

You all know how much I love a good detailed top, dress, all the above. Basics don’t fit my style well. Every time I put on a white tee and jeans I don’t feel like myself. I’m constantly torn between too casual and too dressy, it’s a happy medium and a blouse and jeans is usually my perfect combination. I have some favorite brands that I usually check first – like Hunter Bell, Sea, Tuckernuck has a good curation of special items, Rhode and Emerson Fry to name a few. That being said, I’ve found some really pretty pieces for fall.

  1. Hey Liz! I love your style and am pretty sure I purchase 90% of my wardrobe from your links, LOL. I’m a new mom + new homeowner and am budgeting more than usual. I would lovvve to see your “budget friendly” fall picks ($250 and under)!

  2. Hi! I ordered the J.Crew clogs after seeing them on you. I’m struggling to decide if I keep my normal size or go up a half size (I ordered both to compare). I think the larger size feels more comfortable in the toe area, but they’re louder and clunkier if that makes sense. Do you find them true to size or do you think going up a half size is helpful? Thanks so much!

    1. I’m a true 7 and wear a 7 and am happy with that size!! So I don’t know…if you’ll wear with socks in the fall/winter then I say go up a half size.

  3. Most excited for? Pants! I live in Texas and to say it’s hot here is an understatement. We have started to have some cool (high 70s) mornings here so jeans and slacks have been making some guest appearances.
