Last week we went to Harbour Island to celebrate my friend Chassity’s 40th birthday! Dave and I stayed at the Dunmore, a hotel that I had been so excited to visit and it was everything I dreamed of and more.
Harbour Island is a small island in the Bahamas. We flew through Charlotte into Eleuthera and you take a quick water taxi over to Harbour Island. It was a relatively quick and easy trip and we were welcomed by pink sand beaches and truly the most beautiful Caribbean waters I have ever seen!
The Dunmore, you guys. Beautiful, delicious, relaxing, no design detail goes unnoticed. It was designed by Amanda Lindroth and just wow. Harbour Island as a whole has this incredible Bahamian style that is colorful and European and the Dunmore is no exception. And the FOOD – so fresh. If you go, you must get the poke bowl. Next level! I was also so inspired by the decor and want to bring it into our house.
The first night I wore this dress from Coco Shop, a Prada bag (I bought this from Fashionphile and I found similar ones here, here, here and here) and old Tory Burch sandals. Chassity had a welcome party at her house on Harbour Island which is available for rent! It is called Coral House and it is adorable.
birthday lunch for Chassity at the Dunmore!
One day all 35 of us (!!!) rented boats and spent 7 hours on the ocean. The water is crystal clear and so many beautiful shades of blue. We stopped at a sandbar with these dreamy little swings in the middle of the ocean. The whole day was too much fun.
Stylest One Piece (wearing a small), Mille Caftan (wrapped around my waist)
bikini top (wearing a small) // bikini bottom (wearing a medium)
Most of our days were spent on the beach. I tried to capture the pink sand because it is really incredible. Probably the most beautiful beach I have ever visited. It wasn’t crowded and at times felt like you were on a deserted island, watching the waves crash in, all alone. I loved it so much.
Most of our nights consisted of small dinners followed by karaoke at Daddy D’s or bonfires on the beach. It was the perfect balance of relaxing and FUN. It’s amazing what a little time out of your mom bubble can do for your sanity. There were probably 20 couples on this trip who left their kids at home and we all recharged, chatted and just had a blast! Going to share some outfit details below:
Rhode Dress (wearing a 4), Mango sandals (similar here), Loeffler Randall Bag (old but love this one!), Amanda Lindroth Glasses
Place National Dress from Bennie + Coco (similar on sale here), Tuckernuck earrings, Mango sandals (old)
Nina Leuca Dress from Bennie + Coco (more styles here), Staud Wedges, Prada Bag
Needless to say I came back totally inspired to bring all of the seashell and rattan pieces into our home. Everything felt so light, bright and gleaming with sunshine. It was a magical trip!
Like allllll of the decor vibes, am I right? We can’t wait to take the kids back!!
