The air has gotten crisp here in Charleston! Enough so that a coat is necessary for our 7am walks to school but by mid day it’s near 70. I think I’m going to like fall and winter here in Charleston but the Midwest girl in me is so excited for some cooler temps.

When we moved, we donated or passed on to family, the majority of our outerwear. Aside from a few pieces to hold us over for any cold weather travel, we came to Charleston with very few coats to prepare us for the months ahead. It got me thinking about our winter and the need for some extra layers to keep us warm. I’ve been frantically ordering items for the kids (I’ll save that for another post!) and eyeing some new outerwear for myself. Fun fact about me: I love coats. My parents would always tell me to chill on my obsession but when the coat is good, no one cares what’s underneath! I am a sucker for some good outerwear.
