Hi friends! I’ve been meaning to share a little home update for quite sometime but the truth is the process is somewhat slow and there isn’t too much to share. We are definitely taking our time, changing things we thought we wanted after living here for almost a month. I’ve filled you in on our house a little bit (in our moving announcement here and some design inspo here) but to recap, it was built in 2004 and the bones are pretty perfect. Before we moved in we stained the floors and painted almost the entire interior, reworked the fireplaces and re-tiled the boys bathroom. We have some plans for this summer – we will be adding a full bathroom off of our den on the first floor as a potential guest room and reworking our mudroom a bit. We are working with Lennon + Flohr to make our home one big happy space and my only ask was that every room feel livable and welcoming. I LOVE everything we have chosen and I’m so excited to see it all come together! They are so talented.

Here are some fabrics we are using to give you a sense of the vibe 🙂 I won’t be providing links because all of these were selected through our designers.

I’m going to break down some of the details that I get questions about…

Our floors are heart of pine and we stained them in Duraseal Jacobean.

Walls and trim in the entire house are Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace.

Lower cabinets in kitchen are Farrow & Ball Vert de Terre.

Kitchen countertops are honed Carrara Marble. I’m unsure on backsplash but I think it’s is mini subway tiles of the same (both were here when we moved in).

We did a custom couch from Maiden Home, we have four custom chairs being made for the seating area across from our kitchen, grasscloth wallpaper going up in our dining room and something bright and feminine for our powder room. We have some fun fabrics for our window treatments and lots of gorgeous details coming from some of my favorite retailers.

Because of COVID, a lot of our ordered items are delayed so I wanted to share some items that are sort of our inspo for the space! Not all of these are exactly on order but very similar. I would say our vibe is comfortable, liveable, coastal, neutral with flair, happy and fun.
