Is it just me or have all the malls, department stores, even grocery stores already started celebrating Christmas? I love festive holiday decorations as much as the next girl (and based on the requests we received for this year’s HAF holiday content, all of you do, too!) but I’m still trying to savor the cozy months of fall—easily my favorite time of year!

 

I feel like it’s hard to find seasonal home decor inspiration that isn’t explicitly holiday-focused, so I wanted to show all of you how I’ve slowly started to add some autumn vibes around our house. We’re still playing in the backyard and enjoying our back porch (#Chicagopeople) so I wanted to create a fun, fall-themed space for us to hang out as a family. So many of you have asked about this bench…it’s under $130 and such amazing quality! I added these gold lanterns (soooo pretty at night), these sweet pillows, and this wreath, all under $50.

 

And because I will always love navy buffalo plaid for fall (who remembers this post?), I found this throw blanket, which is also perfect for when the evenings get a little bit chillier. The best part about all of these pieces is that I don’t feel the need to switch them up as soon as Halloween or Thanksgiving are over—because who has time to redecorate every month?!

 

I think what makes me love fall so much is all the little things—changing leaves and open windows, adding a dash of pumpkin spice to my morning coffee, and putting my Fall Spotify Playlist on repeat. Whether it’s adding a cheery garland to your mantle or picking up a few pumpkins to place around your porch, there are so many easy ways to embrace this season around your house and Walmart truly has everything you need.
