Simple and easy is usually my M.O. when it comes to summer beauty, but that doesn’t mean I go totally product-free as the weather gets warmer. Instead, I switch up my routine to focus on products that help me maintain a healthy, natural-looking glow all season long. Since our summer season is so short here in Chicago, I like to look for summer beauty products that work great but don’t break the bank. It’s hard to invest in a $100 summer highlighter when you know you won’t be using the whole thing! You’ve already heard me profess my love for Walmart in this post and this post, but Walmart beauty is a total gamechanger. They have so many brands that you already use and love. I was able to refresh my entire makeup bag with products perfect for summer, all without breaking the bank. Here are a few of my favorite Walmart beauty finds: 

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Naturally Neutral: this is a great powder to give your makeup a flawless finish. It regulates oil control and helps to conceal fine lines and blemishes, exactly what you want when you’re going for a more natural look!

Dove Volume + Fullness Dry Shampoo: without a doubt THE BEST drug store dry shampoo! Leaves your hair looking as fresh as a new blowout. 

Obagi Professional-C Vitamin C Serum: Vitamin C is so helpful for toning down any redness or turning over any hyperpigmentation and dark spots—things I always worry about this time of year. I rub a few drops of this serum between my palms and press it onto my face each morning. 

Milani Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper: Trust—you will never have to buy another lip gloss again once you try this one. I love a slight pop of pink for summer, and this lip gloss (+ plumper!) is the prettiest shade. 

Bioderma Micellar Cleansing Water: I realized that I don’t talk about how I remove my makeup very often, but this cleansing water is my go-to makeup remover. Dab a little on a cotton ball and use it to gently remove any traces of makeup left over from your regular cleansing. 

NYX Shadow Palette: I tend to gravitate towards more golden, bronzy hues for summer, and this palette has it all! I’ll stick to warm neutrals for day-to-day and layer on more of a sparkle or darker shades if I’m going to a wedding or fancier event. 

Maybelline Metallic Highlighter: My #1 product for summer—a good highlighter! Brush this on the apples of your cheeks and down the bridge of your nose to complete your summer beauty look!

Revlon Super Lusterous Lipstick in Demure: I’m going to show you on IG stories just how amazing this lipstick is! It’s THE PERFECT rosy pink. Gives your lips a healthy dose of color without feeling like you’re really wearing anything!
