Summer Traditions with Weber Grills

Dave and I love to entertain! We are constantly inviting family and friends over for dinner, grilling out or simply enjoying a glass of wine on our back patio. With summer in Chicago being such a short season we try to get outdoors as much as possible! It’s usually a tradition on Sunday night to host a bbq—our favorite way to ease into a new week and savor those last few hours of the weekend. On Sunday mornings, we love to discuss our menu for Sunday night dinners over a cup of coffee. Dinner usually entails some sort of meat, a big fresh salad and veggies always done on our Weber Genesis II grill.

There’s something about that bbq smell that just makes you happy. A true sign that summer is here and you have to make the most of it! Since getting our new grill I feel like we have hosted more in the last month than usual! Dave is obsessed with telling our friends about his favorite features—like the side burner and his iGrill—where I like to set the table and make everything look pretty. Dave is obsessed with Weber’s bbq sauce and was so excited to cook his first rack of ribs on the grill. We had some friends over to enjoy them with corn on the cob and a fresh broccoli salad. If that’s not a summer menu, I don’t know what is!

When I was growing up, grilling out was a nightly routine with our family. I loved that it brought us all outside while my dad manned the grill and my siblings and I played games in the driveway. It’s a tradition that I hope we continue as a family of our own. Entertaining doesn’t have to be something fancy. I always look at it as an opportunity to spend time with the ones I love with good food and beautiful weather! I’m grateful to partner with Weber this summer to share how their products allow us to truly enjoy the season as a family and encourage you to do the same!

A big thank you to Weber for partnering on this post!
