There is a feeling that surrounds the holiday season reminding us to slow down a bit. It’s a feeling that I’ve learned to appreciate the older I get – putting fewer events on the calendar and enjoying time with family and friends. Those moments feel so much more important than any holiday party or party dress.
Yesterday Dave and I dropped Charlie off at daycare and decided to stop for a cup of coffee together. It was so nice to hit the pause button and just relax for a bit. We talked about what we still need to do before Christmas officially arrives. Things like drive around our neighborhood and look at the lights, deliver holiday sweets to our neighbors, treat Charlie to his first cup of hot chocolate and watch some more Christmas movies. Today is dedicated to picking up a few last minute holiday gifts for family and friends!
