So many fall things on the to do list and never enough time. I have had a long list of things I wanted to do before baby #2 arrives and visiting an apple orchard with Charlie was at the top of my list. We actually visited this same orchard last year but Charlie was a little too young to appreciate it. This year he loved it! I swear he could have moved in the with goats and pigs and lived happily ever after. He kept saying “hiiiii peegs!” with the most enthusiastic wave. It was the sweetest!
The weather was perfect and because we went on a Friday morning it was really quiet. They don’t actually let you pick apples during the week (only on the weekends) which was fine because we filled up on donuts. I wore the softest sweater dress (it runs a bit oversize, I’m wearing a small) and my trusted Hunter boots. I think sweater dresses are going to be my jam this season. Also, if you haven’t bit the bullet on a pair of Hunter’s yet, this should be your year. I bought my first pair (matte black) six years ago and I still wear them all fall/winter. Charlie looked adorable in his little flannel shirt and UGG boots and dad of course had to match in his own flannel.

Now that we are less than 5 weeks away from baby’s arrival, I am in true nesting mode. I’ve been frantically ordering a few things to “finish” the house a bit before I can check out for the holidays. I’m also just trying to hang on to my last days with an only child. As excited as I am to grow our little family, it’s bittersweet to think about the last two years coming to an end. I still don’t feel old enough/adult enough to have a child of my own but you just kind of figure it out. It is by far the hardest and most rewarding job I will ever do.
Have a great week, friends!
