I’m sure some of you are wondering, “how has Liz not gotten to these posts yet?” More to come on that later but I have been slacking around here! Thanks for putting up with the unexpected radio silence 🙂

Anyways, if you follow me on instagram (if not, why don’t you??) then you probably saw a few photos (here, here and here) of our stay at 86 Cannon while in Charleston a few weeks ago. It’s not often that we stay in the city as my mom’s family has a house out on John’s Island, but when we do I love to explore new places to stay! I had heard amazing things about 86 Cannon and immediately booked a room when planning our trip.

86 Cannon is a dream. A boutique inn that is located in a completely rehabbed single family home in the heart of Charleston. When you browse their website you’ll see that you can choose your room based on availability. We decided to stay in the Piazza King room on the second floor which opens up to a beautiful piazza overlooking the street with a quick entry into the rest of the house (seen here).

When you pull into the driveway you are greeted by Marion and Lori and their two pups, Sully and Gus. They are the SWEETEST and not one detail went unnoticed when it came to designing this beautiful space. After a glass of rosé and a tour of the home, it is easy to settle in to enjoy the nightly wine and cheese service, the third floor library, complimentary bikes or read a book on the piazza. It’s a place that is hard to leave but I was so grateful to have this “home base” while we were in town. I shared a bunch of the interiors on my insta stories but you can explore their website for the full experience! If you have any specific questions I’ll be sure to answer them in the comments!
