Before I became a mom I always idolized the women who toted their kids around the city with ease. Dressed to the nines, always calm and really setting the bar high for mom’s everywhere. I always envisioned my life as a mom being something similar. Fast forward to the last 12 months of my life and ha, not even close. Becoming a mom has given my life so much purpose. I am more confident, more secure in the direction of my life, I am more content with work, I don’t feel the need for more and I’ve learned to let go of the things that I can’t control. I have found a new sense of happiness that I didn’t know was missing from my life. Some days are really hard but in those instances I’ve learned to take advantage of people and things that can help.
