I wanted to share a few photos from Charlie’s birthday party! We had so much fun celebrating our little man. Our plan was to have the party in the park but it rained for four days straight last week so last minute we decided to just have it at our apartment.

My sweet friend Cate has the cutest bakery, Whisked by Cate. She designed Charlie’s animal themed cake (she even made little party hats for the animals!) and the most delicious cake bites. I loved this idea, rather than having a full sheet cake for the adults to enjoy. The party was at 3pm so we set up light appetizers (like a cheese plate and  antipasto skewers – yum!) and drinks for the adults. Charlie absolutely loved his cake. I love the happiness in his eyes as he is stuffing his face, ha!

I used Minted for Charlie’s invitations. His two favorite things are animals and music so I tried to incorporate both into the party theme. I hired Tim from Tunes with Tim (Charlie’s favorite music class) to sing for all of the kids. We had about 14 babies in total and Tim played for 40 minutes which was so much fun to watch.

Our favorite photographer, Tim Tab Studios (he shot our wedding here and Charlie’s birth announcement here!), came to capture a few quick family moments. These photos are so special. I can’t believe that Charlie is one. My sweet little baby is growing into a boy.
