If you follow me on instagram, snapchat (@ lizadamsss) or facebook your probably saw that we have had a rough couple of weeks dealing with Charlie’s acid reflux. Thankfully the meds have kicked in and things are on the up and up but I had a bit of a breakdown dealing with the frustration of Charlie’s pain, spit up everywhere and him not gaining weight. I am happy to report that in the last couple of weeks he has gained his weight back and more (yay!) and we are finally feeling good around here. So good that Charlie has completely grown out of all of his clothes! End result: the cutest overalls you have ever seen.
Since Charlie was born I have been so excited to get him into skinny jeans. But because of his sensitive tummy, any waistband would cause him serious discomfort so finding comfortable clothing (that aren’t pajamas) can sometimes be difficult. Charlie is growing so fast and I am always on the hunt to find pieces for him that are high quality but don’t break the bank. Thankfully my favorite store is having a huge baby sale so I took that opportunity to stock up!
I am kind of a freak when it comes to online shopping (because lets be serious, I don’t have time to get to the store #thankgodforonlineshopping) and always create a sort of road map so I am organized and don’t spend too much time going back and forth between items. Whether it’s for myself, Dave or Charlie, I always like to go through our closets and determine what items we actually need, that way I don’t end up building on pieces that I already own/never end up getting worn. Here are a few easy steps to ensure you get the most out of your online shopping excursion:
- Figure out where you have a void in your wardrobe – basics, bottoms, tops, accessories, outerwear
- Make a list of things you need ahead of time
- Shop by category so you don’t get distracted (this helps prevent me from overspending!)
- Go through your shopping cart and make cuts if the items 1) are too similar to something you already own or 2) don’t feel like a purposeful purchase (for example: sometimes I add things to my cart and later realize that it isn’t me, isn’t ideal for the season, I don’t like the fabric, etc.)
It’s sale season at Old Navy and I made sure to take advantage of their deals! I snagged this, this, these and these for Charlie; this, this, these and this for Dave; and this, this, this and this for me.
