Embracing Cottage Core

Barbour flannel jacket, If Only If gingham blouse, cottage core style

what I’m wearing: Barbour Plaid Coat, If Only If Gingham Blouse, Mother Half Pipe Ankle Denim, B-Low the Belt Suede Belt, Liffner Suede Bag, Freyrs Sunglasses, Jennifer Behr Earrings, Electric Picks Necklace, Prada Ballerina Flats

There are certain themes that feel very in line with my soul and one of those is cottage core. It is not a lifestyle that I currently live (and my home doesn’t really reflect this vibe, especially living in a coastal city) but I gravitate towards pieces that feel cozy. It is a feeling that I try to emulate for my family and friends, something that feels warm and familiar. When it comes to my style, I appreciate pieces that feel nostalgic. Plaids, ruffles, soft textures, knobby knits, vintage prints. This outfit is a perfect example and these pieces look so good layered together.

If Only If has the most beautiful pieces! They started out creating nightgowns and this year launched tops that are so pretty. I bought this gingham top when I visited their store in London!

I love this Barbour flannel jacket so much (and get so many compliments every time I wear it!). I’m wearing a size 6.

How do you feel about the cottage core trend? I’m all in and maybe always have been.
