Who else is ready to switch over their closets, swap dresses for sweaters and jeans and breathe in some cooler air? I know for a lot of us we still probably have a month of these in-between or warm temperatures but I find myself gravitating towards a more neutral color palette and softer textures.
I’ve become wiser with each pregnancy (ha!) in that I have succumbed to maternity clothes MUCH earlier this time around. Not in all areas but when it comes to the waistband, comfort is key. I recently picked up these cute maternity overalls from Mango (wearing a size small, fitted at first but they stretch out a bit) and I have basically worn them all week. Paired with easy tees, tanks, blouses and cardigans. I love the juxtaposition of a feminine blouse paired with denim for fall. I picked up this Vanessa Bruno top from The Avenue (my new favorite shop) but it’s sold out – I found it on super sale here in one size + available here if you’re interested.
Pretty Fall Blouses
My fall style is usually a combination of denim, a pretty blouse and a sweater as an extra layer if needed. I’m also a big fan of jeans, a basic tee and a blazer with ballet flats if I want to feel a little more like a working woman. I’ve realized that basics don’t really feel like me. I like to have a little pizazz in my style or in the details of my look – whether that’s accessorizing with a headband, a floral blouse or fancy shoes with distressed denim. I’m going to do a roundup of fall outfit inspo from past years to hopefully get your wheels turning! If you’re currently pregnant like me, I posted some new maternity purchases I’ve made and items I’m eyeing for fall here!
