I love giving you guys a peek into some of the more “behind-the-scenes” work that goes into blogging—though I’m constantly publishing blog posts and sharing on social media, I don’t always get to talk about how and why all the content creation happens! You may find it interesting to know that one of my “blogger duties” involves sitting down every month and taking a look at all the products that performed especially well. This helps me learn what kind of pieces my audience is interested in (let me just say you all have great taste!) and know what kind of clothing, beauty products, and accessories I should focus on finding for you the next month. I thought it might be fun to start sharing each month’s best sellers on the blog, with a little bit about why I love each item! Here’s what went fast in May:

Everlane Patch Pocket Shorts: these shorts are the BEST. So comfortable, super flattering, and under $50. I always feel self-conscious in shorts because my legs are on the shorter side, but these shorts are the ultimate solution for anyone who doesn’t like shorts. Highly recommend!

Amazon Scalloped High-Waisted Swimsuit: Not to be dramatic, but this Amazon swimsuit may be the find of the year. I am so impressed with the quality and fit, and I’ve already ordered it in two colors (red and green). I would size up if you’re on the fence—I wear a medium.

Amanda Uprichard Francisco Dress: Nothing better than a breezy white dress for summer! Whether you’re a summer bride or looking for an easy dress option to wear to barbecues or patio cocktails, this little white dress is a dream.

Eliza May Rose Clear Stadium Crossbody: It makes me soooo happy that all of you loved this bag as much as I did. It’s a total Gucci dupe for under $30, and on a practical note, it’s perfect for sporting events and outdoor concerts where clear bags are required.

Marlowe Eyelet Blouse: A classic white blouse is a closet staple, but the eyelet detail on this pretty top helps it stand out a little bit more. I’ve been wearing this blouse with denim on a weekly basis, but I feel like it would be so cute tucked into denim shorts once the weather gets a little bit warmer!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation: This foundation is AH-mazing. I never used to be a foundation girl but call me a convert. If you’re looking for coverage without any weight or stickiness, this foundation is just what you need. (I wear the color Deauville.)

FRESH Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Face Mist: I was introduced to this product after stepping into a Bluemercury for a makeover, and it quickly became an essential step in my daily routine. I’ll spritz my face midday if I feel like I need a little pick-me-up, and I’ll also use a little bit to wet my foundation brush before I start applying.

Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder: This powder is the last step in my makeup routine and makes you look like a real-life Instagram filter. I was dubious at first but trust—hundreds of positive reviews don’t hurt, either.

Eve Sleeveless Ruffle Dress: Another fabulous summer dress option! This fun and feminine eyelet dress is under $50 and a no-brainer for this time of year. I love how you can easily dress it up with a pair of statement earrings or make it more casual with a denim jacket. My navy version is almost sold out, but there are lots of sizes left in the white!

WAYF Altona Top: I’ve been really into the square neckline lately and am obsessed with this top. It’s a must-have for date night, or I’ve even been wearing it with jeans for Friday night pizza with the fam.

Free People Printed Maxi Dress: Okay, so I almost didn’t share this dress when I got it in the mail because I wanted it all to myself, but it was too pretty not to share the love. If you need a dress to wear to a summer wedding this would be such a fun option, or I would totally rock it for drinks with my girlfriends.

Do you guys like these kinds of posts? I know there are so many place where I share things I’m loving (hello IG stories) so it is kind of nice to see them all in one place!

Have you tried any of these pieces for yourself? Let me know in the comments!

PS: This pillow facial mask (seen here) and this exfoliating mask were a close #11! It’s a DREAM and if your skin is in need of extra moisture, put it in your cart right now

  1. Love this post and would love to see it continue in the future! I’m taking my scallop swim suit to the beach for the first time this weekend, and I’ve already had a few occasions where I wished I had the clear fauuchi (faux+Gucchi) bag. I think I’ll have to get it!

  2. I think you’ve addressed this before but I’m still struggling with it. I consider you, among other bloggers that I follow, to be my friends even though I’m in my early 20’s with no kids in a small town, so I read your blog and watch almost all of your insta stories. I know that you love Elemis, but I don’t ever know what to try/what to invest in – especially with skincare/makeup. I have pretty sensitive skin and I have to be careful of what I put on it and have to stay decently consistent as well, so I can pinpoint if something is breaking me out (adult acne, am I right?). Again, I know you love Elemis, I’ve tried Tula and Drunk Elephant before … I’m just trying to find a brand to stick with if possible and I’m curious as to how you find the balance between trying new things and keeping your skin happy. I also know you haven’t ever really had skin problems, but anyways. Thank you!

  3. I ordered two of these- the Ruffle Sleeve dress in white and the everlane shorts!! I’ve already worn the shorts a couple times and love them! I’m tempted to get another color. I ordered the dress in my normal size- small, but it is pretty big! I’m hoping the XS is re-stocked in the white 🙂

  4. Hello my dear, I love this kind of post. I really like how easy on the eye the collage is, and it gives me ideas. What kind of site/app do you use to create a collage like this? It’s like the little girl in me who still likes to cut things out of magazines wants to try it. xoxo thank you! – illana

  5. Love those blue Everlane shorts! Any idea what the rise is on them? So many shorts are WAY too high rise for me these days.

  6. Just a heads up to anyone thinking about ordering the Amazon scalloped swimsuit it’s down to $8 for the Garnet color. I have it in a coral color and it’s surprisingly good quality for the price.

  7. I love the collages you make. Would you mind sharing what program you use to create them?

    XO, Meg
