If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I frequently share the workouts I do with my personal trainer on a weekly basis. After having Jack I knew I wanted to get my booty in shape so I signed up with a trainer and have never looked back! I’ve seen a huge difference in my body, body fat, strength, endurance and beyond since really incorporating more weight training into my routine. I genuinely look forward to our sessions every week (I train with my trainer, Jake, 2x a week for one hour) and it feels good to have someone kick my ass before mom life/work life/real life takes over. Personal training is definitely an investment but I need someone to hold me accountable because otherwise exercise becomes a chore rather than routine. Plus, I appreciate that every single session is tailored to ME.

Since incorporating these training sessions into my routine I’ve been way more dedicated to exercise as a whole. I usually run 2-3x a week in addition to weight training (see some of my favorite treadmill workouts here) which means I need a good playlist to get through those longer runs. I made a Hello Adams Family Workout Mix if you’d like to enjoy my favorite songs, too! If you listen to it during your workouts, make sure to tag me on IG with…
To be completely honest, I never fully took care of myself/appreciated my body until I had kids. Now it’s important for me to be the best version of myself for them, for Dave, for my job, for my energy, for my sleep – the better I feel, the better I am. It has taken me a lot of hard work to get to where I am now and I hope these posts inspire you to take a step towards doing something for yourself to make your heart, body and mind stronger. We all deserve to feel like the best version of ourselves every single day.
