Memorial Day Weekend always symbolizes the unofficial start to summer. We usually spend our weekend bbq’ing with friends, picnicing outside, planting our garden, watching the Memorial Day parades, finding local fireworks or boating on the water. Not only is it a holiday that makes me feel so grateful for the men and women who serve our country but it the perfect excuse to pull out your most patriotic and preppy outfits. 

J.Crew’s new arrivals are everything you want and need for summer. I couldn’t pass on these polka dot shorts with the big bow at the waist. A must have this season! My silk cami has been on serious repeat lately as it seriously goes with everything: distressed jeans, a midi skirt, denim shorts, tailored pants and a blazer. A summer essential for sure. 

I love a good knit summer sweater for nights that are cool after a long day in the sun. Regardless of the time of year, I always have an extra layer on hand and this one is the perfect addition to your MDW outfit. It comes in 5 beautiful colors but I love the antique rose. So so pretty! I finished the look with these fun cat eye sunnies, statement earrings and the cutest rattan clutch. All of the items are must haves for Summer and could by mixed and matched with a ton of different looks.
