February 14th already gets a lot of hype, so I thought it would be fun to focus on the lesser-known, very unofficial but equally important holiday also happening next week: Galentine’s Day. If you watched Parks and Recreation, you’ll know that Galentine’s Day is a day strictly devoted to ladies celebrating ladies. For my friends and me, it’s become the perfect excuse to throw up a bunch of pink decorations, eat chocolate and talk about all the things that make being girls so great. Since our Galentine’s Day party always includes a little gift exchange, I’m sharing a few of my favorite items to treat your girlfriends (or yourself!) with this February 13.
I love the wrap-front look of this pink pullover, and it’s 20% off through Tuesday night!
Pajamas and socks were boring gifts when we were kids, but now they’re just the best. I have this J.crew sleep set in navy, and I definitely think I need to get the pink.
Even though I’m no longer in college, my mom still sends me care packages (she’s great). She recently sent me a cute coffee tumbler along with some of my favorite espresso and tea from home. It made my week!
This silk pillowcase is very much a treat yourself-type item, but I’ve been wanting to try it out for a while—getting fabulous hair while also sleeping just sounds perfect. I’m equally intrigued by this sleep mask.
Speaking of indulgent, I’ve been really into using fancy matches to light my favorite candles lately. Believe me when I say it totally ups the ambiance.
You can’t go wrong with dainty gold jewelry.
Girl’s night necessity: a bunch of cozy blankets.
Same goes for a fancy cheese board.
My friend loved this book so much she accidentally bought it twice, and I was the lucky recipient of her second copy. Oh-my-goodness it is so good (I laughed so hard I cried, several times). I’m also a huge fan of a themed coffee table book!
Finally, what’s a Leslie Knope-inspired post without a waffle mix?
Happy Galentine’s Day!
