These brothers make my heart happy and are a reminder of what is truly important in life. How do I have a two year old? AND how is my newborn already 7 weeks old? I swear Dave and I just got married (kind of, that actually feels like 10 years ago).

Jack is the sweetest baby you guys. He is such a soft, wrinkly old man and is so patient with his big brother who wants to smother him with kisses and belly rubs. Charlie is absolutely nuts. I’m starting to feel like I need to wrangle this kid in. I swear it takes a newborn to make you realize how much work a toddler actually is. My sweet Charlie. He is actually testing us a lot lately and super manipulative. How can a tiny human be so smart? He definitely knows what he can get away with when it comes to mom and dad. Remember when I said I’m going to read 12 books this year (one book a month)? This month’s book is Parenting with Love and Logic. Hopefully it provides some insight!

Winter is rough with kids you guys. It is like the frozen tundra here in Chicago and just walking out the door feels like a slap in the face. Definitely not ideal! Needless to say I am ready for a vacation. We have been going a little stir crazy indoors. We actually have a few trips on the horizon! We are going to Denver in a couple weeks to meet our nephew and see Dave’s brother and sister-in-law and then to Florida to see Dave’s mom. I swear you are way more ambitious with two kiddos. I would have never booked trips when Charlie was this age but you trust the process way more with #2.

Kind of a random post for your Thursday but I had to share these photos. My little loves. I’ll be doing an Instagram Live tonight at 6pm CST and cooking my mom’s Italian stew that is SO SO good (and cozy!). Come cook with me! I’ll be sharing the recipe and ingredients beforehand so you’re well prepared. Hope you’re having a great week! xoxo
