Brands I Love

My answer has varied over the years. At one point I would splurge on a fancy dress, expensive heels, bold accessories, etc. but I’m finally realizing the importance of investing in the basics.

Most days my hair is air dried and with this freezing cold weather I’m bundled up in layers (so over it). But, winter makes me realize which items in my closet are true essentials. A great pair of denim, a long cardigan, a striped tee (or great layering piece) and booties being at the top of my list.

Without a doubt my most worn, best fitting and splurge worthy jeans are always by Rag & Bone. I have 2 pairs of their skinny jeans and recently bought these slim boyfriend jeans that I’ve been wearing on repeat (they are so incredibly comfortable). I had also been looking for a dressier brown bootie that was a little higher than ankle length to transition from winter to spring. I was so excited when I found the Rag & Bone Blyth bootie (it will look just as cute with printed dresses).

T-shirts are on heavy rotation around here. I’ve learned lately that I can’t spend $28 on a tee and expect it to hold up after a few washes. I do a lot of laundry – probably two loads a day – and my clothes can get pretty beat up. I recently discovered Eileen Fisher’s tees and I am obsessed with the quality. They are so soft, big quality and come in cute silhouettes. This striped tee is a new favorite.
