Valentine’s Day is kind of a silly holiday. I personally only love it for two reasons. 1: Dave is forced to take me out to dinner and 2: it is every excuse to dress up. We have never been the couple that really celebrates V-Day but it definitely gives me a reason to pull out my favorite pink pieces.
I found this pink shift dress with the cutest tie sleeves from Nordstrom. I’ve been drawn to everything blush lately (like this, this, this and this) and this dress was kind of a no brainer. Remember this dress? Very similar but wayyyyy better price. I paired it with a faux leather jacket and lace up heels to make it feel not so feminine. It’s an edgier vibe for a sweet day. I always try to think this way when pieces in my closet feel too dressy (or too girly). Add a little edge to f-u-n them up!
You can shop more of my picks for Valentine’s Day below but I love the idea of this skirt, cozy sweater and these flats or this lace dress with OTK boots. Nordstrom always has the best collection of dresses (hello pretty lace dress and pink perfection!) and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to buy yourself something pretty.
PS: It was actually pouring rain when we shot these (hence my frizzy hair) but how cute is the Two Penny Blue storefront?!
XOXO
