Mornings have a different meaning to me since becoming a mom.
I used to wake up, pour myself a cup of coffee and immediately get to work. It was always my most productive part of the day. Adjusting my mornings to a tiny human being that relied on me for everything was a big change. However, I’ve realized that starting my days slowly and not thinking about work until later in the day has made my life more stress-free and content. Instead of worrying about replying to emails I watch Charlie pick out his favorite books and we sit and read and wake up together. It is the best.
Our mornings feel even more special now that it is the holidays. These photos aren’t perfect but they are a reflection of us – fresh out of bed and chasing our wild child around our apartment. On Saturday morning I woke up early and picked up donuts to have in bed once Charlie woke up. We made him some hot chocolate milk to have while we enjoyed coffee and just lounged around reading and listening to Christmas music.
There is something so nostalgic about Christmas jammies. I still remember sitting on the steps on Christmas morning wearing matching pajamas with my sister and brother. They add a little more magic to the holidays. I couldn’t help but snag some pajamas from Old Navy for the entire family. Charlie and I have been guilty of wearing them all day long (seriously, Dave got home from work one day and asked me if I had showered…nope!). Dave’s flannels and tee are so soft and I am a sucker for a good thermal set. Plus, my socks are THE WARMEST. I’ve been wearing them almost daily. Charlie looks too cute in his little snowman onesie.
Christmas pj’s will definitely be a tradition in our household and Old Navy has so many cute styles for men, women and children. Shop more of our favorites below!
