We’ve had a stretch of really nice days followed by cooler days and as I type this it is currently snowing (ugh). It sometimes seems like we move from winter to summer within a week but after being indoors all winter I’m ready to get out and enjoy the transition.

One of my favorite things to do to get in the spring spirit is visiting the Lincoln Park Conservatory. The flower room is by far my favorite (followed by the orchid room, so cool!) and as soon as you walk through the doors you are graced with the beautiful scents of spring. It’s such a refreshing feeling and so, so colorful. Not to mention it is nice and warm in there – a beautiful sign of what’s to come. I took Charlie over the other day and I loved watching his little eyes light up when we got close to the various flowers. They were so bright and vibrant compared to the grey clouds outdoors.

Charlie and I dressed in spring looks from Gap Factory to compliment the warm feeling of spring. After living in jeans all winter, I can’t wait to shed the layers and slip on my favorite dresses. We have so many fun things on the calendar in the next month – engagement parties, birthday brunches, baby showers – and I’m always looking for new dress styles to add to my arsenal. Gap Factory has a ton of amazing pieces for spring at even better price points. I am in love with this easy striped t-shirt dress (it is on sale for under $20!) which would be perfect for date nights, brunch with your girlfriends, or weekend activities. I couldn’t help but snag this adorable plaid romper for Charlie – I’m a sucker for old man outfits on babies.
