One of the menus outlined in the book was a New York inspired brunch which I thought would be perfect for Dave and I. Effortless, casual glamour accented with delicious brunch items, coffee and mimosas – the perfect way to wake up if you ask me. Our menu consisted of all of our favorite things to share: waffles, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon benedict, avocado toast, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, bacon, pastries and a cozy skillet. I wanted our table setting to compliment the food and make our guests feel special but also at home. I fell in love with the charlotte street north collection, which inspired my entire table and felt authentic to my personal style. I love the classic navy and white which will be a staple in our kitchen for years to come. I knew I wanted to pair the navy with blush tones so I opted for this gorgeous rose gold flatware and these beautiful rosebowl vases filled with peonies and roses. I love the way the table came together! Casual and glam all-in-one.
Dave and I registered for kate spade new york china for our wedding but this new collection is the perfect combo for day/night festivities. I love that you can find everything for your kitchen within the same collection, like this baking dish, this canister, these salt & pepper shakers, this serving tray, this chip/dip bowl, and this fruit bowl.
I hope this inspires you to be the best hostess you can be in 2016! Thank you to my favorite restaurant, Cochon Volant, and Chef Matt for making my favorite brunch items from their menu for this shoot. If you haven’t been, you must go!
