Once your body starts changing it goes fast and it is so important to feel comfortable when you’re otherwise uncomfortable. Not only does your stomach grow but other areas are changing too {hello, boobs!} and I quickly realized that there is a reason for maternity clothes. The extra panels and softer fabrics are a must as the days go on. Once I hit 30 weeks I decided it was best to embrace my growing bump and treat it to some stylish maternity wear rather than walk around the city in dresses that were too short, too tight or just made me look like I was stuffing my body into something that clearly wasn’t made for a pregnant woman. It turns out I should have snagged these items weeks before because they have become game changers in my last trimester.
Thanks to A Pea in the Pod® there is no reason to sacrifice style just because you’re pregnant. They carry all of my favorite brands anyways and make it easy to shop for your changing body. Their stores read like your favorite boutique and I love that majority of their styles can be worn after baby, too. I’ve been living in this Splendid V-Neck Sweater Tee for the past few weeks and can already tell it will be a staple during the first few months of being a mom. A Pea in the Pod® also carries a ton of different denim brands and their sales team makes it easy to find a full panel, underbelly, or foldover jean that is the best fit for your body! These DL1961 denim leggings are my personal favorites and are honestly worn 3-4 times a week. On days when the heat is too much I’ve been thankful for easy swing dresses to keep me cool and feeling stylish. This Rachel Pally dress isn’t on their site just yet but similar styles are here, here, and here.
There are a ton of amazing styles for new mom’s and momma’s to be! I also snagged this cozy Vince sweater and I’m eyeing this Ella Moss lace top, this Autumn Cashmere cable cardigan, and this Seraphine floral dress.
